I've been in this position before. It comes with the territory. Winter isn't my favourite time of the year, skies are grey and light is sadly lacking. Depression isn't too far away, difficult to shake off those negative feelings.
Time to reflect on what I create and whether I should trim down the number of images produced from a shoot. Yep, that old chestnut.
Looking back at a recent album from just before Christmas, it's obvious that my intended audience isn't being reached. Very few images have had any form of "recognition" . The odd LIKE and even fewer comments were the norm.
I just wonder how many people actually go through them; are there too many to look through?
Three events to cover towards the end of January and into February; Tigger, Mickleden and Wombwell. Each race will take up the whole of Sunday and Monday, possibly into Tuesday. If there is a lack of visibility of the images on social media, should I restrict the volume of photographs that I put out there? Just stick with the best 30-50 shots and leave it at that?
It's a balancing act: Time taken to produce an album = The number of people engaging with images ... that would be great.
So, the next three races. Let's see how I feel.
